Vertical is the name of the game.
Linking cartwheels, wave-wheels, eddy-wheels, flat-wheels, stalls, rock spins, and flat spins -- with grace in every stroke -- is the goal.
The pros know many secrets to make these moves look effortless, and the Ocoee River is the best place in the Southeast to learn the science to this madness. Ace coaches are here to improve your skills. You will see the results. A typical Ace client wants to consistently throw more than two ends, learn how to flat-wheel and wave-wheel, and master that silly looking bow stall the young punks are doing.
The Schedule
We devise a 5-hour program to teach and improve the skills you target. We meet at noon and are paddling by 12:30. After two hours of paddling the top 2 miles of the middle Ocoee, we return to the outpost for a snack and review the video. We then spend 30 minutes working on technique, eddy-wheeling and flat-wheeling in front of the Ace Outpost. We return to the Ocoee and paddle the same section. You'll be amazed at the difference good coaching makes on your progress.
